Cookie Policy

Our cookie policy and how we use them

Last updated: June 15, 2025

what are cookies

cookies are small text files that get stored on your device when you visit a website. theyre used for all sorts of things β€” keeping you logged in, remembering your preferences, understanding how people use the site. pretty standard web stuff.

this policy explains what cookies ShipClaw uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.

cookies we use

essential cookies (required)

these are the cookies that make the site actually work. without them you cant log in or use the platform. we cant turn these off and neither can you (well, you can, but then nothing works).

preference cookies

these remember your choices so you dont have to set them every time you visit.

analytics cookies

these help us understand how people use ShipClaw so we can make it better. they collect anonymous usage data β€” things like which pages get visited most, where people click, how long they stay.

we dont use this data to identify individual users or build advertising profiles. its purely for improving the product.

_ga_*Google Analytics β€” maintains session state2 years

third-party cookies

some cookies come from services we use rather than directly from shipclaw.io:

  • Supabase β€” sets authentication cookies for login sessions
  • Polar β€” may set cookies during the checkout and billing flow
  • Vercel β€” may set analytics and performance monitoring cookies

each of these services has their own cookie policy. we vet the services we use.

how to manage cookies

you have control over cookies. heres how to manage them:

browser settings

every major browser lets you control cookies through its settings. you can usually find cookie controls under Privacy or Security settings. heres where to look:

  • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions

what happens if you block cookies

you can block or delete cookies but heads up β€” some parts of ShipClaw wont work properly without them:

  • block essential cookies: you wont be able to log in or use the dashboard at all
  • block preference cookies: your theme and language choices wont be remembered between visits
  • block analytics cookies: no impact on your experience. we just lose visibility into how the site is being used

do not track

some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal to websites. theres no universal standard for how to respond to this signal yet but we respect it β€” if your browser sends DNT we disable analytics cookies for your session.

changes to this policy

we might update this as we add or remove services. if anything big changes well let you know in-app. the date at the top shows when we last updated it.
