1. what youre agreeing to
by using ShipClaw (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). if you dont agree, dont use the service. pretty straightforward.
ShipClaw is operated by ShipClaw ("we", "us", "our"). when we say "you" or "your" we mean you, the person or entity using our platform.
we can update these terms from time to time. if we make significant changes well notify you via email or through the platform. continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
2. your account
you need an account to use ShipClaw. when you create one you agree to:
- provide accurate information (dont make stuff up)
- keep your login credentials secure
- notify us immediately if someone gains unauthorized access to your account
- take responsibility for all activity under your account whether you authorized it or not
you must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use ShipClaw. if youre using it on behalf of a company you confirm you have authority to bind that company to these terms.
3. the service
ShipClaw provides a platform for provisioning and managing isolated AI runtimes (powered by OpenClaw) for your customers. this includes:
- a visual builder for designing deployment topologies
- per-tenant container provisioning with dedicated compute resources
- persistent storage, environment variable management, and gateway routing
- wildcard SSL, custom domain support, and monitoring dashboards
we try to keep things running but we cant promise 100% uptime. stuff breaks. well fix it as fast as we can when it does.
4. tenant isolation and your responsibilities
each of your customers gets their own isolated runtime environment. we handle the infrastructure isolation β separate containers, separate volumes, separate environment variables.
however, you are responsible for:
- the content and behavior of the AI runtimes you deploy for your customers
- ensuring your use of the platform complies with all applicable laws
- the data your customers input into their runtimes
- managing your own customer relationships and agreements
5. acceptable use
dont use ShipClaw to:
- do anything illegal or help others do anything illegal
- deploy runtimes that generate harmful, abusive, or explicitly illegal content
- attempt to access other users accounts, data, or tenant environments
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the platform
- overload the service intentionally or use it to attack other systems
- resell or redistribute the platform itself (your AI products built on it are fine β thats the whole point)
if we think youre violating these terms we may suspend or kill your account. wed rather talk about it first but we can act fast if we need to.
6. billing and payments
some parts of ShipClaw require a paid subscription. payments are processed through our billing provider (Polar). by subscribing you agree to:
- pay all fees associated with your selected plan
- provide valid payment information and keep it up to date
- understand that subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
prices can change but well give you at least 30 days notice before any price increase takes effect on your account.
refunds are case by case. not happy? reach out and well sort it out.
7. intellectual property
ours: the ShipClaw platform, its code, design, branding, and documentation are owned by us. these terms dont give you any ownership of our intellectual property.
yours: you retain all rights to the content, data, configurations, and AI runtimes you create using ShipClaw. we dont claim ownership of your stuff.
you give us a limited license to host, store, and transmit your content solely to provide the service. we wont use your data for anything else.
8. data and privacy
we take your data seriously. check our Privacy Policy for the full details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.
short version: we collect what we need to run the service, we dont sell your data, and we use reasonable security measures to protect it.
9. disclaimers
ShipClaw is provided "as is" and "as available." we make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- that defects will be corrected within any specific timeframe
- that the service will meet your specific requirements
basically we build the best thing we can but perfection isnt on the table. use your judgment.
10. limitation of liability
to the maximum extent permitted by law, ShipClaw shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. this includes lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or any other intangible losses.
our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. if you havent paid us anything our liability is zero.
11. termination
you can cancel your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.
we can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if we need to for legal or security reasons.
upon termination your right to use the service stops immediately. we may delete your data after a reasonable retention period (typically 30 days) unless legally required to keep it longer.
12. governing law
these terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where ShipClaw is incorporated. any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.
13. contact
questions about these terms? reach out to us at legal@shipclaw.io or through our contact page.
